Should anybody lie to the FBI? Of course not.

But they went after Flynn for one reason -- his proximity to Trump.

Flynn was a retired general, not some person with a record antithetical to America and its interests.

They leaked to put him off guard, and Comey admitted he got "away with" sending agents to the White House against usual procedure, and they encouraged him to not have a lawyer there, so they were just seeking to entrap a former general in order to go after Trump.

This is how a Banana Republic works, and it is NOT how American "justice" should work.
