Political discussions about everything

In a Sunday tweet thread, Carol Davidson, former director of integration and media analytics for Obama, said Project Taargus supported by Facebook in the 2012 campaign led Facebook to “suck out the whole social graph” and target potential voters. We would then use that data to do things like append their email lists.

“Facebook executives came to our office in the days following election recruiting & were very candid that they allowed us to do things they wouldn’t have allowed someone else to do because they were on our side,” Davidson tweeted.

Facebook was surprised we were able to suck out the whole social graph, but they didn’t stop us once they realized that was what we were doing.
Let another company share people privacy information and they would be charged with criminal crimes and face huge fines...it's time Facebook be held accountable, they probably got Obama elected.

RealTool obviously didn't read that tediously long customer agreement when he clicked to open his Facebook account.

Or his gmail account, or any of his other social media accounts.

They own your shit, dimwit. Once you post it, they can do whatever they like with it. And they told you that when you signed up.

It's corporate capitalist conservatives who are so gung ho about letting corporations do whatever they like.
When liberals say we should have regulations for privacy rights, conservatives just look at their wallets and say "Let them do what they want to make money. We are against regulations on businesses."

There was no data breach from what I understand. There were people who signed up for the psychology app...and they did it willingly. The data which was collected as a consequence was within the guidelines as specified by Facebook. Therefore, Facebook is not correct by calling it a data breach.

Now when Kagan shared information with Cambridge Analytica...that's when he broke Facebook's policy.

And Trump's data firm Cambridge Analytica is the real culprit because they are the ones who obtained Facebook user data and never obtained consent from the users...
