Tom Brokaw used the term "greatest generation" to describe WW II people, and it is certainly true that WW II veterans did a great job with total social support during and after WW II.
However, if Brokaw had not dodged the draft and evaded Vietnam via flat feet, perhaps he would have understood that Vietnam veterans also did a great job but with zero social support during and after Vietnam.
Do media outlets realize that WW II was fought without Critical Race Theory training classes to make whites feel they were born inherently racist. WW II was also fought without openly gay or transgender soldiers lessening unit effectiveness.
If WW II were being fought today, and covered my modern media, the media coverage would be relentlessly negative because WW II was won, in pertinent part, because it was not fought in a Politically Correct manner, and it even came to an end with atomic bombs on Hirsoshima and Nagasaki.
Even worse, one of the bombs was name "Fat Man" so it was sort of a slur at people with exogenous obesity, so just imagine Milley or Austin (both fat) authorizing that today!
