And the immigrants who did come in did not lower the wages of blue collar Americans. All wages across the board increased dramatically in 2021 and 2022. Employers couldn't find enough workers to fill all the unfilled jobs they had. Imagine how much worse things would have been if the immigrants who did come hadn't entered the US.

Dimwit, compromise bills are NEVER mainly about one thing. They are about TWO things at a minimum. That you don't understand this demonstrates that YOU are the problem. You insist on one party rule or nothing.

And this is why the Republicans are unable to govern. If they can't get everything they want all the time, they do nothing. And that is exactly what they have done since they have controlled the House. They will never give anyone else anything they want, purely on principle.

It would have de facto given amnesty to the 8 million illegal aliens Democrats let in since 2021, and that would LOWER wages for blue collar American citizens.

That bill would also have given billions to Taiwan, Israel, and of course to our 51st state of Ukraine.

Lankford's mess of a "deal" was horrible, and looking at Capito and Cornyn and McConnell is yet more proof of the doltish RINOs who supported it.
