Political discussions about everything

President Donald Trump took a victory lap on Monday after the Supreme Court restored most of his executive order banning incoming travel from six terror-prone countries.

'Today's unanimous Supreme Court decision is a clear victory for our national security,' the president said in a statement shortly after the high court ruled. 'It allows the travel suspension for the six terror-prone countries and the refugee suspension to become largely effective.'

The Supreme Court said it will decide in the fall whether or not the travel ban is constitutional. Liberal state attorneys general have argued that it amounts to a religious test for entry into the U.S. since the affected countries all have Muslim majorities.

The court said that while the wheels of justice turn, the Trump administration can enforce the executive order against anyone from those nations who doesn't already have a 'bona fide relationship' with a U.S. citizen or legal resident.

The stopgap measure, announced Monday morning, is a victory for Trump, who will be allowed to stem the flow of immigrants and refugees from Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.

Trump has said he would put his ban into effect 72 hours after the Supreme Court gives him a green light.

This past weekend there were demonstrations here in Texas against the state's stand on sanctuary cities...
Those demonstrators were feeling pretty good......
Then the SC announces they will allow parts of the travel ban to take effect immediately....
Now this may not be a direct connection..but it show to the illegals that the security of Americans comes first.. :)

Exactly, the fact that it was unanimous proves the rulings by the lower courts was political activism.

My man Trump can do no wrong, he has the golden touch. Enjoyed watching libtards melt down across the country today. The Supreme Court has spoken, not a damn any other court can do about it.

Actually, anybody can read the relevant legislation.

It gives any president virtually total authority over such matters.

What is shocking is that two circuits, the 4th and 9th, found any "judge" who ignored the actual order and started glancing at irrelevant tweets.

Under that standard, there's no need for any judge to attend law school. To decide a case, the judge would merely consult what some politician said in some speech or some tweet.

So there was a shocking failure to earn the paycheck on the part of some judges in the 4th and 9th.
