John Podesta, the Obama administration’s climate and energy czar warns we are running out of time. "The climate justice movement has an expiration date. If the tipping points in the earth system are passed, and the feedback loops begin their vicious cycle, human attempts at mitigation will be futile. In other words, we have roughly four months to work for climate justice. The world is literally at stake; all life on earth is at risk. Never has there been a more urgent or comprehensive mandate. We are going to join the rest of the human race. For 200 years too long, citizens of the United States have been parasites and predators on the rest of the world. To prevent climate catastrophe, we are going to leave our imperial hubris behind"
In the mean time.
Obama’s Lonely Climate Summit – world leaders are staying home

Anthony Watts / 5 hours ago September 16, 2014

Eric Worrall writes: The imminent climate summit in New York is rapidly turning into an utter embarrassment for President Obama and UN Secretary General Bank Ki-Moon, in addition to becoming a bit of a punishment round for national deputy leaders.

Aussie PM Tony Abbott today defended his decision not to hop on an earlier flight to America, so he could attend the UN climate conference in New York, because he has more important matters to attend to, such as running the country.

Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi have also indicated they likely won’t attend the summit.

Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper has indicated he will not be attending.

Even Angela Merkel, President of über green Germany, will not be attending the UN climate summit.

Climate Summit: European Union surprised Tony Abbott will not attend high level climate talks

Mr Abbott will not be attending, despite the fact that he is due to attend a UN Security Council meeting in New York the next day.

EU commissioner for climate action Connie Hedegaard said it came as a surprise.

“It is, of course, I think, a pity that not everyone is going,” she said.

“At least 125 heads of state have sent a strong signal to the rest of the world that … climate change is important, and they know they have a role to play and a responsibility to take in order for the world to address climate change.

“I do not know what the reasons would be behind it, but, of course, the world will interpret who is showing up and who will not be showing up.
Like they give a shit what 3rd world countries think about them not showing up to hand out money to scammers and the UN's wealth redistribution effort.

One world order....

Oh, the perfect utopian solution.....no more poverty...no more war....no more beheadings...
No more despot dictators.....no more innocent black shooting victims.....no more Grog.......utopia, huh?

Anybody that thinks a dime of monies taxed out of our pockets in the name of "Saving the planet from global warming" will actually get to the stated recipients is a fool.

Anybody that thinks "carbon credits" (monies taxed out of our pockets) can cure/reverse so called "global warming" is a fool.

That includes you Elk.
