BS laws to be sure, California is the worst in the world I do believe! That rig would be illegal in so many ways here.
Skid lids are even mandatory for riding a bicycle!

Still looking for that shot of me in my '57, but in the meantime here's one you might appreciate! Delivering Almonds from the field to the almond huller/sheller.

Skeetz - I believe the helmet laws in California for bicycles is that they must be worn for 18 year olds and younger but not required for over 18 (unless it has changed recently). It's required for anyone riding a motorcycle.

That's true today, but you just wait! The dip shits in Sacramento have already offered a bill to make the mandatory for anyone on a bicycle.

They simply must protect us from ourselves, don't you know? You want to buy some Vineyard land? I'm moving to Arizona first chance I get!

One up on ya mate. ALL bicycle riders gotta wear em here. And in QLD, My state, club patches are out. Evidently ALL motorcyclists are criminals. If had that mower I posted earlier it would against the law to mow the bloody lawn.

I might take that vineyard.....lol

Hey Ya'll, I was just poking around the net and came up with Skeet in his younger days and a model that was reluctantly willing to pose with his original Hot Rod. A 57 BC Rag Top Rock Chopped Chevy.

Yep, I got'a plead guilty Grump! Back in the day, when I was "Bad to the Bone" and so was that five seven BC! Now I'm just a Bag of bones! It's the pits!

That small Bone Chevy power won a lot of races for me in those days! She was bad fast, but the brakes just sucked! Of course I didn't really give a rats ass about the brakes, 'cause Wilma was always hollering, "Don't stop, Don't stop!" She ran on Bone power too, and she was even faster than the car! (Sorry, Fred! TMI?)

Thanks RB, it's been so long since the good old San Joaquin Valley has seen enough rainfall to allow for mud to be created I found this picture to be quite exciting!

And it also brought back some fond memories of the days when I was scaring the crap out of "Mustangs" with my badass Chevy!

LOL Yeah but your Cuda never met my badass Chevies or my Ponytractors either! (421's forever!) I sold all the earlier ones and the damned burglars got my most recent SS right out of my garage!

I don't think I ever raced a Cuda, guess it's a little too late for a grudge match now! But I'd love to see your "drop top Bird" someday! That would take me back about 55 years to when my older cousin had a '56 "Porthole Bird."

As a 15-year-old I was sure proud to be seen with him in those days.

Although thats not so hard to do when your talkin cars or politics.
Let me know when that 'grudge match" is run, Id like to see it.

Skeetz, I remember the loss of your SS. Was it ever recovered?

RB as Skeetz said, it's a little too late - he doesn't have his badass Chevy and I don't have my AAR Cuda anymore. Too bad on gas mileage and too many tickets, but it was fun.

Now I only have Fords and yes, one of them is a Mustang. Grumpy says I'm a closet Mopar man and I would agree. I've always had a soft spot for Mopar muscle. I'd love to own a Dodge Hellcat.

Heh heh heh

I'd have kicked ALL your asses with my old RC30 Honda. Especially with the track mods.
For that matter, same with my Ducati 900 Monster street bike. Plus, as an added bonus, I could actually take corners, too!

Now Thumper, you know that's a whole different ball of wax! But I never rolled up in a ball taking a corner, and the back seats were much roomier!

First Honda import, 1964! https://youtu.be/cMKNnYe97CQ

And then there was my '64 Impala SS https://youtu.be/xKKP_cZuk54 Just sayin' . . . .

How've you been Big Guy? I kinda' miss your torments, but I miss your Lady more! Greet her for me will Ya'?
Just my old standard greeting, she'll know who it's from!

OK Thumper, you got me beat and I wouldn't even try - we all know how quick bikes are. I don't think my Harley would be able to run that quick. It's built more for cruising that for track speed. It's great to see you chime in and I also wish Lady T would give us a shout out ever once in a while.

She said to pass a couple of pinches back to you guys. I'll leave that to your imagination.

Yeah, I miss the speed and handling of a true thoroughbred bike. Even the Duke was a bit tame. But I can't twist into a pretzel anymore, so the pure sportbikes are not doable. Plus, I'm still on a doctor and Lady T imposed hiatus from 2 wheelers.

Sure would like an Aprilia RSV4 though.

Hey Thumper, good to hear form you. Man that's one interesting machine, to much electronics for this old schooler though. Short stroke screamer from what I've seen & read so far. Worth a study & read regardless of my ol'ways.

Don't know about pinches but please do give Lady "T" a hug & couple of proper love taps on her lovely cheeks. Stop giving her a fret before she gets after ya with that iron skillet.

Yeah Grump I was kind of proud of the old Bone Mobile, and you aught'a see what my Prom date looks like now that she's filled out a little!

That looks like a hybrid 'Cuda, didn't know they were building those in the 70s.

Hey Thumper, how's this for a two wheeler, RC style?

Valve covers with crank vacuum assist portals so to speak Rock. :) G-Day ya wonderful crazy ol'friend.

Now hold on one cotton pickin minute RB. Most of us rednecks or hillbillies can't afford non of those fancy "Cow-A-Socky's nor those Wobbly-Fergusons. Maybe some "udder's" should have been mentioned. Triumph with Bonnie, or even Better Sex (w) Annabelle. Now Norton made a fine feather bed frame back in the day to tickle the ladies fancy. Come to think about it, Wobbly-Ferguson did design the original Milwaukee Vibrator. ;) :)

I've destroyed a lot of transmixers and rear ends doin' that Aussie Two step RB! But I just kept building more horsepower under the bonnet and hoping for the best!

Grumpy, this is what you get up in the northeast when the snow is up past the shop windows and there's a 454 on the floor under the work bench!

Maybe, never really thought about it. Seems almost sacrilegious to be doing that in an American muscle car. That's what rice rockets are built for!

I really do miss my old '96 Impala SS! I could run that car for a thousand miles in one day, race a couple of Corvettes and Mustangs along the way and still feel fresh as a daisy when I got home! Loved that car! The charger is faster and a whole lot quicker off the line but I don't know how comfortable it would be to ride in for long periods. At my age I want cruiser, but a fast one!

Hey Jr, have you driven one? I have a friend who ordered one as soon as he heard they were going into production. I've gotten to drive his twice now! Simply Amazing!

My Impala topped out at 154, but I've hit 160 in this Dodge, and that's hairy enough for me on county roads! Even where the crossroads are 4 or 5 miles apart, at 150 plus they come up pretty darn quickly!
