Open Discussions about the VoyeurWeb.com site

I contacted Raven a couple of weeks ago to let VW know that pics of mine from Redclouds were being stolen and posted on other sites and asked if there was something VW could do about this. In the past, VW would contact sites and demand they remove stolen material. Raven responded that she couldn't do anything and in addition she was removing my contri on RC!

After two years away from VW (trust issues with the site) we submitted a contri in July to RC and were lucky enough to win the 5th place award ($200). However, no one has contacted us about being able to receive the award and now the contri has been removed from VW without asking us about it. It's been almost two weeks and no one at VW will answer any emails (we've sent them to Raven, Diego, and Leo). Not sure what to do at this point. It's a bummer as we were looking forward to sharing here again- we literally have hundreds of pics we'd like to post.... We would like to understand why our contri was removed, when we can expect the award, and what VW plans to do about material stolen and posted on other sites.

Can anyone at VW help us with this?

Thanks!

Jenn

Just a follow up-

I just got a response from Leo saying that if I proved my id they could send me an award. No word back from Raven or Diego about why the contri was removed or what to do about VW/RC pics being stolen and posted on other sites. I see that it is back now- they put it up on the VW home page. Apparently, they don't mind using my pic to advertise the site, but answering my email was out of the question.

I have no opinion on your pic removal or prize money questions. However, I do have an opinion on your pictures being stolen and posted elsewhere. As much as I agree that it is shitty that it is happening, the responsibility is all yours alone and just a risk you take when you post shit on the internet. What do you expect the site to do? It would be nice if they could somehow make the pictures locked so they could not be copied, but I don't see that happening. lets face the fact, a large amount of internet porn viewers (such as to this site) do it just so they can add your submissions to their personal porn collections. Lock the pics, traffic will drop. Again, I don't want to sound like a dick, but you are posting porn on the net, what the hell do you expect? This is a great site and I'm glad you are posting, but an expectation of privacy and security of your pictures when posting them to any site like this is really irrational on your part.

Honestly, there are absolutely zero ways to make pics online 100% "secure". Even if VW were to lock the pics and prevent people from right-click saving them, if someone really wants them they'll just do a print-screen and save them that way.

Watermarks? They can be photoshopped out.

Any other ideas? I can't think of any.

If you upload it here, it can show up anywhere else. That's the internet for ya.

Again, thanks to Leo for the response and for fixing the problem. Regarding pics stolen for VW, of course it is not possible to make content 100% secure- I'm aware of that. However, pre 2012, VW would send out copyright violation notices to sites that posted VW material and demand they remove the content. I was inquiring as to whether they still would do that. It appears that VW is no longer willing to advocate for their contributors by doing so.

Jenn's right. VW cannot MAKE the other site remove the picture but can take them to court. That is expensive and the other sites know that VW won't do it...there are too many other sites to go after.

On the other hand, the other sites know that deleting a couple of contested pix are easy to do to appease VW. The sites will still have tons of other pix in "their" collections.

Jenn,

Do you have any idea how much it would cost to take a site to court for copy right infringements? Besides, even if VW did waste their time sending out notices to sites posting your stolen pics, its already too late. If your pics are there, they are probably everywhere. The responsibility of your pics is completely YOURS alone and the only person who can protect them is YOU by not posting them. However, if you like posting pics, then keep it up and just know that the likelihood of any site being completely secure is a joke. Its not VW"s fault that your pics get stolen. Hell, there is a good chance that the VW gets stolen pics posted too. Its just the reality of the internet. Unless you live under a rock somewhere, Im sure you have heard at least one person in your lifetime say that what you post on the net is forever and once there out of your control.

When I first found this site I posted a picture of myself in the tit flash section. I only kept it up on the site for a few hours while I commented back and forth with my admirers. About a week later, I decided to come back and post another only to find that somebody else was already pretending to be me; they must have copied my picture during the short time that it was up. This was in the old days when you did not have to register to post or comment. The picture did not show my face so I was not really all that worried about it, but it was enough for me to not post any more. I agree with the others, if you are going to post pictures on an internet adult site, you should really not expect any sort of privacy or security of your images even if you are a paid member.

It is actually easy to send a DMCA take down notice, and often much faster for the person in the picture since coming from a competing site may not be taken as seriously as someone individually contacting them.

Taken from https://nppa.org/page/5617" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and attributed to Carolyn E. Wright, Esq. http://www.photoattorney.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; because it is about the best I have ever seen. The only thing she doesn't include is if you wish to also include a per image fee if they fail to take it down. This must be reasonable, but if you do take them to court it is the only basis you have for getting money fro them as opposed to just causing them problems and expenses.

I'm having trouble with this. I'm a newbie and I thought i wanted to post photos of my wife but had second thoughts. I uploaded a few but deltwd before submitting. I uploaded another thinking I could delete after submitting but once I published there was no going back
Instantly I panicked and tried to figure out how to delete the photo but there was only a ticket system to request removal. So I submitted a ticket but two days later still no response. What can I do???
